A clearance sale that looks like the rack itself. "EVERYTHING / MUST GO." stacks in heavy Bricolage Grotesque on paper white, with "GO." in tomato red, "Up to 60% off last season" in Space Mono beneath, and a tomato "Shop clearance" pill. On the right a big manila price tag swings in on its string, carrying "CLEARANCE ENDS IN" over three boxed numbers - a live countdown in days, hours, and minutes. Built for the fictional outdoor store Ridgeback Outfitters, this four-pane year-end clearance hero runs between Christmas and New Year, or any time you need to clear last season's stock.
The price tag is the countdown, and it travels. On the first pane it hangs large on the right third. On the two product panes it shrinks into the top-right corner, still ticking, while the headline shrinks to a small "EVERYTHING MUST GO." chip top-left. On the closing pane it swings back to the center. The tag tilts at a slightly different angle on every pane, so it looks like it is swaying on its string as it moves. The tag is drawn from shapes - outline, punched hole, ring, and string - with the brand "RIDGEBACK OUTFITTERS" and "YEAR-END CLEARANCE / ALL SALES FINAL" printed at the bottom.
Every product gets its own tag. The tent pane shows an orange "Trailhead 2P Dome Tent" cutout tied to a small manila tag where "$389" is slashed by a drawn tomato line before "$155" number-rolls in, with "N°01 / SHELTER" above the name and a tomato "ONLY 12 LEFT" chip below. The trail pane pairs leather hiking boots ("$210" to "$99") with a charcoal down vest ("$180" to "$72") under "Trail-tested. Priced to clear." and a "LIMITED SIZES" chip. The strings run from a tie point on each product to the hole in its tag.
The close is blunt: "Final markdowns.", "Once it's gone, it's gone.", a second "Shop clearance" pill, and a tomato "60%" that number-rolls between "UP TO" and "OFF LAST SEASON". Tags drop in with a swing, cutouts pop, strikes draw, and prices roll, all in a loop of about 16 seconds.
Export to HTML or React and swap it in for your regular hero from December 26. The first pane says what is happening and how long is left, the product panes show real markdowns, and the close sends shoppers to the clearance collection. The countdown keeps ticking on every pane.
Nothing in the copy names a date. Rewrite "YEAR-END CLEARANCE / ALL SALES FINAL" as "BOXING DAY" or "END OF SEASON", reset "Ends at", and the same hero covers your summer clearance or a warehouse sale.
Place the hero at the top of a dedicated clearance page with the full product grid below. Swap the three cutouts for your deepest markdowns so the hero previews the best deals before shoppers scroll.
