A Black Friday banner that behaves like a price tag being defaced. "BLACK FRIDAY" lands in towering acid yellow Anton beside a matte black roll-top backpack, a Space Mono meta line reads "UP TO 40% OFF · ENDS SUNDAY", and a single "Shop the sale" pill waits bottom-left. Built for the fictional carry-goods brand Ferrule, this 2:1 homepage hero swaps a store's usual banner for Black Friday week and loops through two price slashes before landing on a blunt close: "Everything. 40% off."
The structure follows a sale shopper's eye. Pane one is pure attention - the wordmark and one hero product. Panes two and three are proof: the wordmark shrinks to a tight top-left chip, a product cutout takes one half of the frame, and a dark price card takes the other with the product name, a mono spec line ("20 OZ · INSULATED STEEL"), the struck old price, the new price, and a "FREE SHIPPING OVER $75" footer. The price card swaps sides between the bottle and the cap so the loop never feels like the same slide twice. Pane four pulls all three products into a row under "Everything. 40% off." and "No code needed. Ends Sunday." before looping back to the screamer.
The palette is deliberately not red. A near-black field, off-white ink, one acid yellow accent for prices, strikes, chips, and the CTA, and a muted gray for the old prices and meta lines. That restraint is why it cuts through a week when every other banner on the internet is red and white. Four typefaces each get one job: Anton for the headline, Inter Tight for prices, Space Mono for specs, and Inter for supporting copy.
Motion is short and mercenary, like the copy. The wordmark stomps in on the first pane, cutouts and chips pop, the strike line draws across the old price, and the new price rolls up only after the slash has landed. Autoplay runs at four seconds per pane with a 600ms transition, and looping is on, so the hero cycles through the whole pitch in under 20 seconds without anyone touching it.
Export to HTML or React and replace your static hero for the sale window. The loop reads top to bottom in one visit: the wordmark announces the event, two price slashes prove the discount is real, and the close repeats the offer with the terms. Because the only clickable element is the CTA pill, the embed never competes with your navigation or product grid.
Place the hero at the top of a dedicated Black Friday collection page, point the pill at the product grid below with an anchor link, and let the price slashes do the persuading that a plain "40% off" banner cannot. Change the featured products to match the collection and the page feels custom-built.
Export the hero as MP4 for a video ad, or as a still image of the price-slash pane for email hero slots. The 2:1 crop suits email headers and wide ad placements, and the first pane works as a thumbnail on its own.
