The most natural countdown there is: midnight. A giant champagne-gold clock fills the screen over glittering bokeh, ticking live through days, hours, minutes, and seconds, with "THE LANTERN ROOM PRESENTS" and "New Year's Eve 2027" in Bodoni Moda italic above it. Built for the fictional rooftop bar The Lantern Room, this four-pane New Year's Eve countdown works as a website hero in the weeks before the party and as the clock on the venue's screens during it - and when it reaches zero, the clock flips to "HAPPY NEW YEAR".
The clock is the hero and it never really leaves. On the first pane it spans the full width in tall Bebas Neue, chosen because its digits are fixed-width, so the clock and the DAYS, HOURS, MINUTES, SECONDS labels beneath it stay perfectly still as the numbers change. On the next two panes the whole lockup shrinks into a band at the top of the frame, still reading "New Year's Eve 2027" over a ticking clock, while the interludes take the stage. On the final pane it returns to full size with a "Reserve your spot" pill, so the loop back to the first pane is a hold rather than a jump.
The interludes keep the loop alive without crowding the clock. "THE NIGHT" pane sets "Rooftop. Live DJ." in white and "Champagne toast at midnight." in champagne gold, both in Bodoni Moda italic over drifting bokeh. "TICKETS" pairs "From $85", which number-rolls in bold Inter Tight, with "Open bar 9 PM - 1 AM" and "Dress code: sparkle." beside a close-up of two champagne glasses against warm city lights.
The ended state is the payoff. The clock digits and labels are grouped and set to show only while counting, and "HAPPY NEW YEAR" with "Cheers from The Lantern Room." is set to show after it ends, in the same spot. The year appears in one editable text, "New Year's Eve 2027", which travels with the clock to every pane, so updating it for another year takes a single edit.
Publish the project and open the link full screen on every TV and projector in the room. The clock counts down live, the interludes remind guests about the champagne toast, and at 00:00 every screen switches to "HAPPY NEW YEAR" together.
Export to HTML, React, Vue, or Svelte and place it at the top of your events page, or embed the hosted link. Visitors see exactly how long is left, read the night and the ticket price, and land on "Reserve your spot" - give the pill a URL click action pointing to your booking page.
Export a single pane as an image or a short MP4 on the days you post, so the time left is accurate when it goes up. Link to the live version for anyone who wants to watch the seconds tick.
