A holiday gift guide that reads like a magazine spread instead of a promo banner. "The Gift Guide" stacks in burgundy Fraunces on warm ivory, a tilted gold foil ribbon reads "for everyone on your list", and a cream enamel kettle and a boxed candle trio sit at the foot of the cover. Built for the fictional home goods shop Hollowell & Co., this six-pane holiday gift guide slideshow walks through five gifts under $120 - each with its own recipient, kraft price tag, and one-line reason to buy - and closes on free gift wrap.
The design sells taste before it sells price, which is exactly what a gift guide should do. The palette is short: ivory paper, burgundy ink, a kraft tone for tags, and gold that only ever appears as foil. Fraunces carries the display type in both roman and italic - the italic is reserved for the "for the ..." recipient lines, so the voice of the guide always comes from the ribbon. Inter Tight sets the prices on the tags, Inter handles descriptions like "Matte cream enamel with a walnut handle and a spout built for slow mornings.", and a Space Mono counter ("02 / 05") keeps the spread feeling edited.
Structurally, every gift gets a full pane. A shared header keeps "The Gift Guide" in italic top-left and "HOLLOWELL & CO." top-right after the cover, the foil ribbon moves around each pane to frame the recipient, and the product sits on a rounded paper card with the price hanging off a kraft tag in the corner. The walnut serving board is "for the host" at $68, the pour-over kettle is "for the early riser" at $115, and the linen apron is "for the cook" at $54. The fifth pane splits into two cards - a candle trio at $42 and a stoneware mug pair at $36 - "for the one who has everything". The close gathers all five cutouts into a loose grid above "Free gift wrap through the holidays" and a burgundy "Shop the guide" pill.
Motion is soft, like paper being handled. Recipient labels letter-fade, the kraft tags pop in and their prices number-roll, product cutouts get a slow zoom, and supporting copy fades or resolves from a blur. Autoplay holds each gift for four and a half seconds with a 700ms transition and loops back to the cover, which is slow enough to actually read the descriptions.
Export to HTML or React and set the loop beside a "Gifts" collection grid. Shoppers browsing by recipient get a curated shortlist with prices up front, and the "Shop the guide" pill can carry a click action to the filtered collection so the slideshow becomes the entry point, not decoration.
Export the full loop as MP4 for a single feed video, or export each pane as an image and post a six-slide carousel where the cover is the hook and every swipe is one gift. The portrait ratio takes up more of the feed than a square, and the ivory background stands out against dark holiday creative.
Embed the hosted link at the top of a "gifts for everyone on your list" blog post, then repeat each product in the article body with longer copy and affiliate or product links. In a newsletter, use the cover as the hero image and link it to the hosted slideshow.
