No "BLACK FRIDAY!!!" shouting, no flashing red: this pricing section keeps the brand calm and lets the deal do the work. A mint pill reading "Offer ends in 5d 12h 54m 03s" sits above "Black Friday: 50% off annual plans." in Space Grotesk, and it is a real countdown that ticks while the visitor reads. Built for the fictional freelancer bookkeeping tool Ledgerly, the section moves through four panes - the announcement, three annual plans with slashed prices, a spotlight on the most popular plan, and a closing offer - on an off-white canvas with a single mint accent.
The countdown behaves like a status badge, not a siren. The pill, with a small pulsing mint dot beside the text, starts centered above the headline on the first pane, then moves with the header into the top-right corner while the headline compresses into one line on the left. From there it stays visible on every pane, so the deadline is always in view while visitors compare plans. When the offer expires, the pill swaps itself to "Offer ended - see current pricing" and the live dot hides, so the section never shows a frozen zero.
The pricing cards are real UI built from blocks, not screenshots. Solo, Pro, and Team each have a name, a one-line audience ("For new freelancers", "For full-time freelancers", "For studios up to 5 people"), a muted old price with a line drawn through it, a mint "Save" chip that pops in, and a new yearly price in Inter Tight that number-rolls into place: $96 to $48, $192 to $96, and $480 to $240. Three feature rows with mint check marks and a "Choose" button finish each card. On the third pane the Pro card grows and gains a "Most popular" chip while Solo and Team shrink and fade back, a spotlight move that works without a single arrow or badge shouting "best value".
The voice is straightforward. The subline reads "Ledgerly keeps invoices, receipts and taxes in one calm place. Every annual plan is half price.", and the close promises "Lock in this price for as long as you stay." above a mint "Get 50% off" pill and "Cancel anytime. 30-day refund." The copy avoids dates and durations on purpose: the countdown is the only time statement, so changing your end date never leaves an outdated "ends Sunday" behind.
Export to React or Next.js and place the section at the top of your pricing page for the length of the offer. The countdown pill keeps the deadline visible while visitors compare cards, and the "Choose" buttons can carry URL click actions straight to checkout with the discount applied.
Use the section as the hero of a campaign landing page linked from your email and social posts. The announcement pane states the offer, the card panes prove it, and the close pane gives one clear action. Because the countdown is live, the same link stays accurate from the first email to the last.
Publish as a hosted link and embed it on your changelog, help center, or an in-app announcement panel. Existing monthly customers see the annual savings laid out plan by plan, which is exactly the audience most likely to switch during a Black Friday window.
