Portfolio Strip - Work Showcase Template

A 2:1 selected-work band for studios, agencies, and freelancers who want the work to do the talking. Six panes, one project per pane, on a near-black stage with no accent color anywhere - the discipline is the brand. Giant ghost index numerals and a single knockout-title pane give the strip a signature without stealing light from the projects, and the whole thing exports to clean HTML, React, Vue, or Svelte to drop into an existing site.

#What Makes This Template Stand Out

The ghost numerals set the stage before the work arrives. Each project pane carries its index - 01 through 04 - in Anton at roughly 700px and 8% opacity, fading in first so the giant numeral is already in place when the project plate slides in over it. The header pane does the same move with an "SW" monogram behind "SELECTED / WORK", and the closer hides a ghost "14" behind "THAT'S THE / SHORT LIST." - the count of projects you did not show.

The projects hang like prints, not wallpaper. No plate is full-bleed: every image is mounted hard-edged with generous black margin around it - the gallery wall - and keeps a slow drift inside its frame across the hold. The layout mirrors pane to pane (NEON DISTRICT mounts right with its caption lower-left, SOFT MACHINE mounts left with its caption lower-right, TIDEWATER goes wide and center), so the strip reads as a curated hang rather than a slideshow.

One pane is allowed to be loud. The fourth project, OPALINE, drops the plate entirely and renders its title at around 300px as a knockout filled with the campaign photograph itself - iridescent fabric and flash glare showing through the letterforms, with only a mono caption beneath. After three quiet plates, the knockout is the moment visitors remember, and it resets the calm for the close.

  • 2:1 strip format built as a selected-work band for studio and freelancer sites
  • Ghost Anton index numerals at roughly 700px and 8% opacity behind every project
  • Projects mounted as hard-edged plates with generous black margins and slow internal drift
  • Mirrored layout rhythm: plate and caption swap sides from pane to pane
  • Knockout pane where the OPALINE title is filled with its own campaign image
  • No accent color anywhere - Inter Tight, Anton, and Space Mono on near-black

#Who Should Use This Template

  • Design studios and small agencies who need the homepage work band to feel curated, not exhaustive. The "14 PROJECTS, 4 SHOWN" header line frames the strip as a short list and sends traffic to the full archive.
  • Freelance designers and art directors whose four strongest projects span disciplines. The placeholder set - identity, packaging, web and motion, campaign - is built to show range, and the captions follow one strict format: name, discipline, year.
  • Photographers and image-makers who want gallery pacing instead of a thumbnail grid. The mounted-plate treatment respects the work's edges and grade.
  • Studios rebuilding their site who need the work section finished today. Replace four images and eight caption lines and the band is done.

#Best Use Cases

#Studio Homepage Work Band

Export the strip and mount it between your hero and your about section. Ghost numerals fade in as the visitor reaches the band, plates slide through on autoplay or arrow navigation, and the "View all work" pill hands off to your full case study index. Because it exports as real code, it behaves like any other section of your site rather than an embedded player.

#Freelancer One-Pager

For a single-page portfolio, this strip can be the entire work section: header, four projects, and a closer with your call to action. Repoint the "View all work" pill at your email or booking link and the six panes carry the whole pitch. The monochrome discipline keeps your projects' own palettes - magenta identity, pastel packaging, oceanic UI - as the only color on the page.

#New-Business Teaser

Publish the strip as a hosted PaneFlow link and send it ahead of a pitch as the pre-read. Six panes at gallery pacing take under a minute, end on "THAT'S THE SHORT LIST.", and leave the prospect wanting the full deck - which is exactly the job a teaser should do. Export to video for the version that plays in a pitch-room lobby.

#How to Customize This Template

  1. Open PaneFlow and select "Portfolio Strip - Work Showcase" from the template gallery
  2. On the header, keep or rewrite "SELECTED / WORK", update the mono meta line with your real years and project counts, and swap the ghost "SW" monogram for your own initials
  3. Replace the NEON DISTRICT plate image on pane 2 and edit its caption block - project name, discipline, year
  4. Do the same for SOFT MACHINE on pane 3, noting the plate and caption mirror to the opposite sides
  5. Swap the wide center plate on the TIDEWATER pane and update its caption
  6. On the knockout pane, replace the fill image with your most texture-rich campaign shot and change OPALINE to a short project title
  7. Rewrite the closing "THAT'S THE / SHORT LIST." line if you want a different sign-off, update the ghost "14" to your real count, and point "View all work" at your archive
  8. Export to HTML, React, Vue, or Svelte and drop the band into your site
