New In PaneFlow: Rotate, Resize, Rename, Repeat

Design tools live or die on the small stuff - the tiny details you touch a hundred times a day. So lately we've been focused on sanding down those edges in PaneFlow: making it faster to tweak layouts, keep projects organized, and ship slides that feel more "done" with less effort.

This update is a bundle of those quality-of-life improvements. A nicer way to rotate elements, smarter image handling for the web, cleaner pane navigation, better keyboard shortcuts, and a few team-level upgrades like SSO. Nothing huge on its own... but together, they make working in PaneFlow feel noticeably smoother.

#Rotate Handle - Spin Elements Right On The Canvas

Previously, rotating an element meant going to the sidebar, finding the rotation field, and typing in a value. It worked, but it felt... very "2009 design tool".

Now every selected element gets a small circular rotate handle right below its bounding box. Just grab it and drag around to rotate.

  • No sidebars.
  • No numeric guessing.
  • Real-time rotation preview on the pane.

Perfect for:

  • Slightly tilting screenshots or UI mockups
  • Adding subtle angles to cards or images in hero slides
  • Creating more dynamic layouts without touching the inspector

#Named Panes - Stop Guessing Which Pane Is Which

You can now name panes directly from the panes bar. The name shows up in:

  • The right sidebar pane list
  • Pane pickers when you create click handlers (e.g. "On click → Go to pane 'Pricing Slide'")

This makes it much easier to:

  • Set up navigation between panes (intro → features → pricing)
  • Keep track of variants (Hero A, Hero B, Onboarding Step 1, etc.)
  • Collaborate with teammates ("Update the 'Churn Chart' pane" is way clearer than "Pane 7")

#Default Styles Per Project - Keep Every New Element On Brand

You know the drill: new project, you tweak the first text block, change font, size, color, spacing... then repeat for every new element you add.

Now you can turn any styled element into a project default:

  1. Style a text block, image, or block the way you like.
  2. Right-click it.
  3. Choose Set As Default [Element] Styles.

From that point on, every new element of that type in this project will be created with those styles. For example:

  • Headline font, size, letter spacing, and color
  • Button radius, padding, background/hover color
  • Image corner radius or border style

This keeps your whole slideshow consistent without fiddling with styles every time.

#Smarter Images For The Web - Alt Text And Resizing

If you use PaneFlow to power live websites (via CDN/iFrame, Webflow App, or Framer Plugin), images matter a lot for both accessibility and performance. Two upgrades here.

#Image Alt Text - Better Accessibility And SEO

The Image settings dialog now includes an Alt text field.

Use it to:

  • Describe what's in the image for screen readers
  • Add context to product shots ("Screenshot of PaneFlow editor showing pane and block system")
  • Help search engines understand your visuals

If you export your slideshow to HTML/React/Vue/Svelte or embed via iFrame, this alt text travels with the image.

#Resize Uploaded Images - Lighter, Faster Embeds

Sometimes you upload a huge 4K photo when you really need a 512×512 avatar. That can slow down your page when PaneFlow is embedded.

Inside the same Image settings dialog you can now:

  • Quickly resize an image by percentage using a slider
  • See the target resolution (e.g. 1024×1024 → 512×512)
  • Apply the resize so the image is stored in a more reasonable size

This is especially handy if:

  • You're publishing to CDN and care about page weight
  • You're embedding slides into Webflow or Framer and want snappy loads
  • You're exporting to video and want to keep file sizes under control

#New Text And Alignment Shortcuts - Stay On The Keyboard

We've added a set of keyboard shortcuts to speed up text formatting and element alignment. Once they're in your muscle memory, they shave seconds off every slide.

#Text alignment

  • Text Align Left: ALTCTRLL
  • Text Align Center: ALTCTRLT
  • Text Align Right: ALTCTRLR

#Element alignment

  • Align Element(s) Left: ALTA

  • Align Horizontal Centers: ALTH

  • Align Element(s) Right: ALTD

  • Align Element(s) Top: ALTW

  • Align Vertical Centers: ALTV

  • Align Element(s) Bottom: ALTS

#Quick text edit

  • Edit Text: F2 (jump straight into editing the selected text element)

These work great when you're fine-tuning layouts or duplicating blocks across panes.

#SAML SSO - PaneFlow For Your Whole Team

PaneFlow now supports SAML SSO, so your team can log in with existing identity providers (like Okta, Google Workspace, etc.) instead of separate passwords.

Why it matters:

  • Centralized access control for admins
  • Easier onboarding/offboarding for larger teams
  • One login across your stack - less friction for designers and marketers

If your company needs SSO enabled, reach out and we'll help you get it set up on your account.

#Plans, Pricing, And Black Friday Offer
